One of my brand and blogging goals this summer was to network and meet more bloggers, creatives, influencers and fitness professionals. It's a part of what keeps me motivated so it sucks to admit I haven't done a good job sticking to that goal. I got stuck in my own little bubble and missed out on some networking opportunities. BUT holding myself accountable is the only way I'm going to make progress! So when I heard about the Fit Food Tour in Charlotte, I made it my priority to attend at least one event.
This morning I headed to Grabba Green in Ballantyne for a free workout hosted by Chrys, @getfitwithchrys on Instagram! I've followed her on social media for a while and she's incredibly ambitious and inspiring. We did a great HIIT workout that had ya girl pushing though! That's what I think is so great about bootcamps, having workout partners or even having a personal trainer: I get that extra push that I might not get working out alone.
After the workout, I ordered a Steak Hash Bowl, because what's a good workout without proper nutrition? Pointless. This bowl contained steak, egg, green onion, kale, yam and harissa sauce. This bowl is 237 calories, 9g fat, 11g carbs, and 26g protein (all of the nutritional information can be found online). I had to laugh because it's like, who the heck eats a salad for breakfast??? But it was really good!
Grabba Green is locally sourced, whenever possible. They use all WHOLE foods with no hormones or preservatives. They've got a variety of grains, greens, smoothies, juices, and snacks on the menu. Be sure to check out any one of their Charlotte locations!
