Baby It’s Cold Outside | Baby Shower
It’s the beginning of December and my “Baby It’s Cold Outside” themed baby shower definitely brought in the season bright! My mom, best friend and sister-cousin put together a beautiful and fun baby shower for my family and I. It felt like a complete season change from my Boho Baby Shower Brunch with all the pink and silver!
I know most moms-to-be are pretty hands off with their showers, but I had a little DIY fun with some of the desserts and favors. I made my own chocolate covered Oreos, candied pretzels and snowflake lollipops. I ordered inexpensive molds online and used coupons from Michael’s to pull it all together. I also used an idea from Pinterest for hot chocolate favors.
I have to give a special thanks to Chrissy’s Delights for my beautiful and tasty snowflake cupcakes! They were almost too cute to eat…ALMOST! They were all gone in the first couple of minutes. She’s now my number one choice for baked sweets in the Charlotte area.
Baby shower games can get a little cliche, repetitive and predictable, so I was super impressed with this Baby Shower Feud game! My sister-cousin DIY’d this cute backdrop. I think teachers have a special kind of creativity because this was too cute! I decided to use pink wrapping paper and wrap the box my stroller came in so that contestants could have a little more fun pressing the bell.
This baby shower got a little more emotional because I was missing my grandmothers’ presence; moreover, my heart was so full from the love and support from my family! Between both baby showers, we received so many gifts that there is very little for me to get for the baby.
The countdown is really on and I’m so ready to meet Mariah! I just hope she doesn’t shy away too long from her debut!
