My Nursery Inspiration and Mood Board
Creating a special space for a nursery is really exciting because it just adds joy to the reality that we are going to welcome a precious baby girl into the world. I think it’s pretty obvious that I didn’t paint any part of this room and I’m clearly posing for a photo opp! I did help tape around the wall, but most of the paint bled through those parts, so a special thanks goes to my husband for painting the room and going back to clean up all the lines.
Although I’m not the ideal painter, I’m definitely a queen of Pinterest! Ever since I found out we were having a girl, I started pinning ideas to my Pinterest board. Now that I’m just months away from my due date, I’ve started to shop around for many of the items and ideas that I’ve pinned. I really love the bohemian theme, but I don’t want to go full out forest. I like the floral balance with pops of pretty colors, so I decided on grey and white basics, floral accents, and hints of peach, pink and gold.
I know some items will cost more than others, but hopefully my favorite stores like Home Goods, Ross, TJMaxx, and even Amazon can help me out. I like nice things but I also love a budget-friendly find! I’ve put together a mood board that will serve as a guide for our nursery. I have commitment phobia when it comes to decor, so hopefully I can stick to the basic ideas. But, don’t be surprised if the after photo looks completely different from this mood board!
