Visiting Verona | Valpolicella Wineries + Wine Tour Tips
Ciao Bella! Just three days after being back in Venice, Italy, I took a fun trip to Verona for wine tasting with the girls! I'm so incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to explore and experience different cultures while I travel with my husband. There's so much to see and taste and drink in this world! Why not make the most of it?!
The girls and I opted for a wine tour hosted by Pagus Wine Tours. The €140 ticket included transportation to and from the wineries, a visit to Lake Garda, two winery tours and tastings, and a delicious four-course lunch. My train ticket from Venice was €27. This was an all day tour, so I would say we definitely got our monies worth!
My Top Wine Tour Tips
1. Research wineries/tours thoroughly before signing up. TripAdvisor had so many reviews of our wine tour, so it helped make the decision. Be sure to see everything that is and isn't included in the tour. Our tour was from 9am-4pm so we had plenty of time to explore, do TWO tours and had a wonderful lunch!
2. Go in good company! I had so many many laughs with my girls! For goodness sake, if you can't enjoy a wine tour, we can't be friends!
3. Plan ahead and be mindful of your schedule. We made sure to get to the train station with enough time to catch the train. We also had to quickly get back to the train station so we wouldn't miss our ride back.
4. Taste all of the wine! End of story.
I could write a complete blog post about our experience but I will let the pictures and videos tell it all! Have you ever been on a wine tour in our out of the country?
